The baby's premature

A Special Case of a Premature Baby

The baby's premature arrival posed challenges to their feeding and weight gain, shifting the focus from milk supply to the feeding process itself. Recognizing the significance of proper latching in the early stages of breastfeeding, we collaborated on a comprehensive plan. This plan aimed to improve direct feeding while also incorporating pumped milk to support both the baby's weight gain and the mother's milk supply. Through a gradual process, we successfully transitioned the baby to exclusive breastfeeding.

During this journey, the mother gained a deeper understanding of her baby's feeding pattern, fostering a stronger connection and boosting her confidence. As direct feeding improved, the baby's sleep patterns also became more regulated, contributing to a sense of calm for both mother and baby. The positive changes in the baby's behavior naturally had a positive impact on the mother, resulting in an overall improved well-being for both.
